An internship is critical in today's competitive job market. An internship often fulfills an academic requirement and provides you with an essential addition to your résumé. But more importantly, an internship provides you with real world experience.
OPPORTUNITIES AT MARYHAVEN
Maryhaven offers exciting opportunities for social work and counseling students seeking practicum placements in the fall, winter, spring and/or summer semesters/quarters. A variety of residential and outpatient practice settings and clinical opportunities are available to the student for training in clinical practice. Our goal is to provide a placement opportunity that assists our interns in their own skill development, multidisciplinary and multicultural practice, and individual professional development, so they will leave our agency capable of securing jobs across the country and beginning their professional careers with confidence. Throughout the internship, a weekly basic skills seminar is offered with topics relating to addictive and mental illness.
