Maryhaven recognizes that people, by nature, want to feel valued and appreciated, and not just at a time there are substantial contributions but at anytime of the year. For this reason we developed two awards recognizing employees and their extraordinary efforts to implement Maryhaven's mission to help others - the PRIDE AWARD and the Gumby Award. Recipients of the PRIDE AWARD are measured on: P=Performance, R=Respect, I-Initiative, D=Dependability, E=Excellence; the Gumby Award is given for flexibility.
Maryhaven staff and clients are encouraged to nominate employees for services or activities that deserve this special recognition. The Pride Award is presented quarterly at our Quarterly All Staff meeting by the President and CEO.
